Privacy
Morse Universe has no accounts and sets no cookies. This page lists what the site learns when you use it.
The tools run in your browser
Text you type into the translator, and the sound it plays, stay on your device. Nothing you type is sent to our servers.
The flashlight
On the SOS page, the Flashlight button asks for camera access, because browsers switch a phone’s flashlight through the camera. The camera’s picture is never shown, recorded or sent.
Share links
A share link carries its text after the # sign in the address. Browsers don’t send that part to the server, so the text reaches only the people you give the link to.
Visit counts
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and doesn’t follow you to other sites. It reports totals, such as the pages viewed, the site that sent you, and your browser, device type and country.
Hosting
Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers see your IP address in order to deliver each page. Cloudflare’s privacy policy covers what it does with that.
Your theme choice
If you pick light or dark with the theme button, the choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
The browser extension
The extension asks for two permissions: context menus, for the right-click item, and storage, for the speed and spacing you last chose. It has no host permission and no content script, so it can’t read, change or watch any page. Decode as morse works because the browser hands over the text you selected; that selection waits in memory, and the popup clears it as it reads it. The extension makes no network request of any kind, and what you type in it is never stored or sent.
Your trainer progress
The Koch trainer saves your lesson, your last 10 answers for each character, your speed and your streak (the days in a row you finished a round) in your browser’s local storage, so you pick up where you left off. It never leaves your device. Start over clears the lesson and answers.
