I miss you as a morse code bracelet
Each dit is a round bead and each dah a tube three times as long, with a small spacer between letters. For a 7 in bracelet in 3 mm beads: 13 dit beads, 9 dah tubes, 5 spacers, 2 word beads and 14 plain beads.
How I miss you is put together
I is two dits. MISS is M (two dahs), I (two dits) and two Ss (three dits each). YOU is Y (a dah, a dit and two dahs), O (three dahs) and U (two dits and a dah). That adds up to 22 marks, 13 of them dits.
At 10 words per minute (WPM), the speed the player starts at, the phrase takes about 10 seconds. In MISS, three letters in a row are nothing but dits: two, then three, then three. Only the three units of silence between them keep ISS from running together as one long string of eight.
I miss you and I love you
The two phrases are built the same way: eight letters, three words, I at the start and YOU at the end. Only the middle word changes, and MISS has two marks fewer than LOVE, 10 against 12. Played one after the other, they start and finish on the same notes.
